VISSONIC retractable screens for Malaysian boardrooms

The table stays clean. The screen still rises.
Paperless retractable lift screens planned by seat, cutout and budget.

Count the seats first. Each place setting is a lift unit, a cutout and a cable. Then we match LSSC, LDSC or LSSCM so the desktop looks like furniture until the meeting starts.

Where to start

Two reasons people specify a lift

The table has to look unused

A boardroom that hosts VIPs cannot sit under a forest of monitors. VISSONIC ultra-thin lifts hide the LCD in the top. The lid closes. Sightlines stay open for cameras and faces. That is the room facilities photograph after hours.

See the lift families

Every seat has to see the same paper

Paperless rooms fail when only the front row has a screen. A lift at each place setting carries the agenda, the slide and the vote. One-touch share can push the same HDMI to every unit and the LED wall without a software login.

Match the family to the room

Straight answer

How do I choose a retractable screen for a Malaysian boardroom?

Start with seat count and the table drawing. Each seat that needs a display is one lift unit, so ten seats is ten cutouts, ten power drops and ten network ports. Then choose the family: screen only, screen plus nameplate, screen plus microphone, or all three. Then decide whether each unit needs an integrated PC, one-touch sharing, or a central paperless server.

Do not start with a 21.5 inch panel. A 15.6 inch LSSC in a tight place setting reads better than a 21.5 inch unit that hits the neighbour's armrest. Cutout size and chassis depth decide the quote as much as the badge on the lid.

In the room

What people should feel when they sit

The lid is flush

Before the session the aluminium panel sits in the table. No black rectangles. No cables on the wood. A visitor should not know the room is a paperless hall until someone presses up.

The panel tilts to the face

VISSONIC publishes auto tilt at the top of travel, typically 15 degrees, with manual tilt to 30 degrees. That is the angle that keeps glare off IPS glass under downlights.

The neighbour is not blocked

A 21.5 inch panel on a narrow boat table can hit the next seat. We check armrest gap and camera sightlines before we lock a size. A lifting mic adds a second column in front of the face.

The range

Four VISSONIC lift paths for paperless tables

Each card is a family, not a price. We pick one after the survey.

VISSONIC LSSC silver ultra-thin retractable paperless screen raised from the table lid

Ultra-thin lift screen

VIS-15/17/21LSSC is the clean lid. Grade A IPS at 1920 x 1080, 16:9, ten-point capacitive touch on the paperless models. Panel buttons handle up, stop, down, tilt and HDMI or VGA switch. Control also runs over RF remote at about 30 metres and over RS232 or RS485 for group lift. Add -A for an integrated PC. Add -S on 15.6 and 17.3 inch for one-touch hardware sharing.

VISSONIC LDSC silver lift screen with a 10.1 inch rear nameplate display

Lift with rear nameplate

VIS-15/17/21LDSC keeps the front glass and adds a 10.1 inch rear display at 1024 x 600. The person across the table reads the name, role or language channel without a paper tent. Same lift, tilt and anti-pinch behaviour as LSSC. LDSC-A adds the integrated PC. LDSC-S and LDSC-AS are the touch and built-in host variants on 15.6 and 17.3 inch.

VISSONIC LSSCM silver lift screen with a separately lifting gooseneck microphone

Lift with retractable microphone

VIS-15/17/21LSSCM lifts a gooseneck, typically the VIS-M410 410 mm unit, separately from the display. Chairman and delegate behaviour, voice-activated timeout from 1 to 140 seconds on the S-series, and optional vote or interpretation modules sit on the same CAT5e path. LSSCM-A adds the PC. VIS-LS15/17/21DAD-F is the array-mic alternative when a gooseneck would block the camera.

VISSONIC VIS-DCP3000 intelligent conference server front and rear panels

Paperless controller and conference server

VIS-SERVER-E2 is the paperless multimedia controller. VIS-SWITCH24 or VIS-SWITCH48 is the core switch. VIS-VIDSTMER streams when the room also sends video. VIS-DCP3000 is the new intelligent conference server for wired, wireless and paperless rooms, with expandable audio, video, Dante and camera-tracking cards. Specify the stack the session actually runs, not every box in the catalogue.

What the hardware actually does

Six things to check before you buy

Cutout size is a furniture drawing

VISSONIC publishes chassis hole sizes such as 414 x 60 mm, 450 x 60 mm and 550 x 60 mm on LSSC, and 547 x 60 mm to 667 x 62 mm on LSSCM. Panel sink is a few millimetres larger and about 3 mm deep. Chassis depth under the top is typically 550 to 720 mm. A 25 mm melamine top with no cable tray cannot hide that box. The joiner and the AV team sign one drawing.

Lift, tilt and the lid

Up, down and stop run from the panel, a remote or a central controller. When the lifter reaches the top the LCD auto-tilts, typically 15 degrees. Manual tilt goes to 30 degrees. When it drops, the door closes. Ultra-thin families publish anti-pinch on that door. Group lift lets a chairman raise a block of seats or the whole table on one key.

What each seat can show

A basic LSSC takes HDMI and VGA and can switch on the panel. Paperless units open the agenda, whiteboard and saved documents from the server. S-series touch units share by hardware: one button sends the current picture to every lift on the loop and to the main LED wall. No app login. If the room only shows slides on a wall display, a lift at every seat is the wrong spend.

Microphone as a second motor

On LSSCM and LDSCM the gooseneck lifts on its own motor. VISSONIC publishes a built-in digital chairman or delegate unit with the VIS-M410 410 mm microphone. Sensitivity and an 8-band EQ are adjustable. Hot-swap recovery is published on the S-series. Array flush units exist when the camera must see faces, not chrome stems.

Power, loop and control

Many lift chassis take 220 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. S-series touch units also publish a 12 V DC path so 220 V does not sit in the table. Loop video and control use RJ45. RS232 and RS485 talk to Crestron, Q-SYS or another processor you already own. We do not leave a unique remote on every lid and call it a system.

Integrated PC versus a central host

The -A suffix adds a built-in host. Published -A examples use an Intel Core i5, 4 GB DDR3 and a 128 GB SSD. That is a local terminal, not a room PC for Teams. A paperless server still makes sense when twenty seats must open the same file at the same second. Pick one architecture. Mixing random mini PCs under the table is what creates the support ticket.

By room scale

Start with the table, not the brochure

Committee table, 6 to 10 seats

Start with 15.6 inch LSSC if the table is narrow and people only need the document. Add LSSCM when the same table votes. A 15.6 inch cutout is the smallest published hole and is the usual retrofit into an existing 1200 mm deep top. Do not put a 21.5 inch panel here unless the place setting is already wide.

Budgeting

What actually drives a retractable screen quote

There is no honest single price for an LSSC that survives contact with a real table. These six lines are what Kasturi prices after a survey.

Seat count and family

Twelve LSSC units and twelve LDSCM-A units are different bills of materials. Mic motors, nameplates and integrated PCs stack per seat. The series name is not the quote.

Screen size and touch

15.6, 17.3 and 21.5 inch are different glass, different cutouts and different chassis weights. Ten-point touch and full-lamination S-series panels cost more than a non-touch lift that only shows HDMI.

Server, switch and share path

VIS-SERVER-E2, VIS-SWITCH24, VIS-VIDSTMER and one-touch loop hardware each add a rack line. Only specify the path the session uses: local HDMI, paperless documents, or share to the LED wall.

Table cutouts and furniture

A new table built around the published hole sizes is cheaper than cutting a finished solid top on site. Cable trays, grommets and a service void under the top are part of the room, not an extra the joiner discovers later.

Power, network and control

Every seat needs power and a loop port. Group control over RS232 or RS485, and any tie-in to Crestron or Q-SYS, belongs in the first drawing. Leaving it out makes a hardware-only bid look cheaper than the table you will actually run.

Commissioning and the estate

Sync lift, anti-pinch checks, tilt presets, document login, a live share test at every seat and operator handover sit in year-one cost. Spare lids and a spare mic stem are the usual insurance on a 20-seat table.

Planning context from Kasturi published meeting-room pages: from RM 8,000 for a 2 to 4 person huddle room, RM 15,000 to RM 35,000 for a 5 to 12 person meeting room, and RM 30,000 to RM 80,000 for a boardroom with 12 or more seats. A full boardroom with an LED video wall and ceiling microphones starts from around RM 211,000. A per-seat lift system sits in the boardroom class because every place setting is hardware. VISSONIC units are quoted after we measure seats, cutouts and the paperless stack. Every project is designed after a free site survey.

How we deliver

From survey to a table people can use

Site survey

We measure seats, table thickness, underside clearance, power, network and whether the top can take the published cutout. Bring a furniture plan if the table is not yet built.

System design

Family, size, mic, nameplate, server, share path and group control go on one drawing with hole sizes. You see the lift path before anyone orders hardware.

Install and commission

Cutout coordination, under-table dress, loop wiring, sync lift, tilt presets and a live document or HDMI test at every seat. Anti-pinch and lid close are checked on the finished top.

Handover and support

Operator training, spare-unit advice, warranty terms and a local engineer path. Kasturi supports installs across Peninsular and East Malaysia.
